ABOUT
Disability Defenders is a family-owned disability support provider based in Ipswich, proudly supporting NDIS participants across Ipswich and surrounding suburbs. The business was founded by Cale, Jordan, and Renae with one simple goal: to provide better, more reliable support that people can actually count on.
Since starting Disability Defenders, we’ve grown to support around 30 participants and we now have over 10 dedicated staff members. While we are family-owned, we are backed by a reliable team that allows us to deliver consistent support and respond to participant needs properly.
We know that great support isn’t just about turning up. It’s about being consistent, listening properly, and communicating with participants, families, and support coordinators so everyone feels safe, informed, and supported. That’s why we take a person-centred approach and tailor every service to suit the individual, their goals, and the way they want to live day to day.
We provide a wide range of supports including community access, in-home support, personal care, transport and appointment assistance, and capacity building. We also run structured 1:2 group outings on Mondays and Thursdays, and we can provide 1:1 support on those days as well, depending on participant needs.
Our supports are available 7 days a week, including public holidays, because we understand life doesn’t stop on weekends and support needs don’t always fit a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
We support participants with a range of needs, including high and complex support requirements, and we always prioritise safety, dignity, and respectful care. Our style is friendly and relaxed where it should be, but we take standards seriously. We set clear boundaries, follow support plans, and if something isn’t safe or appropriate, we address it properly.
We currently support Plan-Managed and Self-Managed NDIS participants.
If you’re looking for a support team that communicates, shows up, and genuinely cares, we’d love to hear from you.
