At Disability Defenders, we provide reliable, person-centred disability support for NDIS participants across Ipswich and surrounding suburbs. Our supports are tailored to your individual needs, routines, and goals, with a strong focus on safety, dignity, and clear communication.
We currently support Plan-Managed and Self-Managed participants, with supports available 7 days a week, including public holidays.
Community Access (1:1 Support)

We support participants to get out into the community safely and confidently, while working towards personal goals and independence.
This may include:
Shopping and errands
Social outings and community activities
Recreational activities and events
Support to attend appointments
Building confidence and safety in public environments
Assistance with Daily Living & Personal Care (In-Home Support)

We provide flexible in-home supports to help participants manage everyday life safely, comfortably, and independently. Supports can include both daily living tasks and personal care, depending on individual needs.
This may include:
Showering and personal hygiene assistance
Dressing and grooming
Toileting assistance and continence support (including changing aids as required)
Meal preparation and basic cooking support
Cleaning, laundry, and household tasks
Support with routines, structure, and independence building
Mobility support and safe transfers (where appropriate and safe)
Our team provides respectful, reliable support with a focus on privacy, dignity, and safety.
Transport & Appointment Support

We support participants to travel safely to appointments and community activities, helping reduce stress and improve independence. We also provide transport to and from activities as part of your supports where required.
We have 4 wheelchair accessible vehicles available, making transport safer, easier, and more reliable for participants who require mobility support.
This may include:
Medical and allied health appointments
Support coordination or provider meetings
Shopping and community outings
Assistance during appointments as needed
Group Supports (1:2 Support Ratio)

We run structured group outings that support participants to enjoy meaningful community activities while building social connection and confidence in a safe, supported environment.
Monday Group: approx. 6 hours (food provided)
Thursday Group: approx. 9 hours (food provided)
We also provide 1:1 supports on these days where required, depending on participant needs and availability.
